Happy New Year's Day

Here's to the bright New Year
And a fond farewell to the old;
Here's to the things that are yet to come
And to the memories that we hold.

Although New Year's Day comes during the winter school break, it provides a great springboard for a number of educational activities.
Most of the activities featured here can be used effectively either before or after the holiday.
