"I have a dream that my four little children
will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color
of their skin but by the content of their character."
"I Have A Dream"
For the New Millennium I created a bulletin board that reads "I Have A Dream
For The Millennium." I have a picture of Dr. King on the board, as well as
clouds floating in the air. Throughout this month as I teach about Dr. King,
I will ask the children to either write (with help) or illustrate their dreams
for the Millennium. I will then post their clouds in the sky around Dr. King.
I think this is a neat way to teach about "dreams" and to recognize such
an important person as Dr. King.
